Pray for Breeze

This is Breeze with her 9 year old rider. Breeze is a 8 year old, 13hh Welsh/paint cross.

Breeze jumped the fence yesterday and cut her leg pretty bad. The vet is coming out tomorrow to assess the situation. The riders mom also works on our farm, and thinks the vet will want her put down. I don't have a pic of the wound because it was already bandaged when I got there, although I did see pics of it. The wound is in her hind right leg. Please send prayers or well wishes for Breeze. She is a terrific pony and is beloved by every kid who visits the farm, especially her young rider. I know it would crush this little girl if we had to put her pony down.

Poor doll; she's a beautiful pony. I'm sending prayers your way for Breeze that the wound looks worse than it is. Check out some of the wound progress threads on here if you can...many horses have come out of some horrific injuries just fine with lots of TLC and perseverance under careful veterinary watch.

The vet just left! He took some X-rays and said she should heal up nicely as long is there isn't any bone chips or fragments. I don't think there is, but we won't know until he develops the x-rays and gets back to us.
