Hello! My horse is being moved in a few days and is colicy under stress. He is on a daily probiotic, and I was wondering if it would be safe to give him the paste the day we leave? I dont want it to do more harm than good so I figured I would ask before I gave it to him! Thanks!
Don't see a problem with giving a tube of probiotics. If my horse are going to be under stress from trailering. I give them probiotics day before and day of.
My gelding is on probiotics right now he's had some colic issues the last month.
I double dose (so daily amount + tube) the day before, day of, and day after whenever our horses have something stressful coming up, so I think its just fine to do. You can't really OD a horse on Probios.
Thanks, my local tack store was all out, so I had to order some of line. I paid $20 for it to get shipped to get here within two days so hopefully I get it in time. If not I will drive an hour to go get a tube from a tack store farther away! Thanks
Wow, I can get a 30g tube for $6 at our feed store! If you give it daily, is there any way you can bulk buy it in the tubs? I get a 2.5 month supply for $20, at 5g daily.
Oh no I mean I paid 20 to have it here in two days! The tube it self was $10...
