I didn't know horses could get fleas. Do they?

I've only ever found ticks on my horses twice in about 15 years of owning them. Only one was actually stuck to the horse's skin. The other was just laying there sort of loose. I think he just got it from rolling in the grass.

So I was always under the assumption that fleas and ticks are almost a non-issue with horses. But maybe it depends on where you live.

Fleas, never. Ticks, occasionally. Two or three times isolated incidents in the summertime.

Bronco fly spray or Apple Cider Vinegar. Mainly to protect against flies, but they also work on ticks.

Apple Cider Vinegar-Cheap, effective, non-toxic
Bronco fly spray-Disney world uses it on their animals, and I am a big Disney nerd so I do too.

5. For what reason(s) would you switch products: lower price, brand name, type of product, convenience, friend/family referral, organic/natural ingredients, effectiveness, otheróplease list
Cheaper and as effective or a more effective brand. But I would mainly be concerned about flies not ticks.

Magazines, podcasts, horse forum
