Thanks for the article. :) I have read many articles that say what that one did about gelding younger being associated with a taller horse because of the growth plates. When I spoke with the one vet in our area about it, he did not seem to know about that...I wonder if the other vet will be more intuned to it.
It sounds like proud cut is not the way to go...not a bit deal, even if I can't tease our mare, I can have the vet do US on her as JDI suggested (in my other thread) or lease a teaser pony as Sara suggested.
Barefoothooves, you did come across a bit strongly, but I know where you are coming from :) I always like to consider all possible outcomes of any decision I make...that is why it usually takes me a long time to finally settle on a decision. I like reading articles, books, asking horse forum friends, getting as much info as possible before doing anything major with or to my horses. You should have seen the posts I had up when looking for a stud to breed our mare AI to...:)
