    We've used them for the last 3 years: no problems in pastures or close to the barns.... have had no issues with horses or bugs... just get them in fresh manure and try to protect them during their hatching stages so horses don't trample the manure you put them in.... make sure you read the directions and let the larval stages hatch in their package as they indicate in the instructions.

    Their hay gets thrown no further than 10 feet away from the big manure mess, so when I say "dinner table," I do mean their dinner table. I know the packaging says it's safe around horses, but like farmpony said, what if they eat some? Being so close to where they eat, it could happen. But as some of you said, it's been used in stalls without a problem, so I'm not worried anymore.

    I was also concerned about using so much in such a "small" space. Would it be too much. And it seems it's not. So thank you.

    We get a double order a few times a year. They really are tiny and you will not have a problem with them.
