Question for the Euquine Vet !?

    Helo,

Im interested in becoming an euquine vet and I have a couple of questions to ask.

-First off what quality does a person need to become a vet?
-How long is the training ?
-Does anyone have any colleges or universaty that you would racemend to a student ? (in Canada)
-Apperantly its very hard to get in a school is that true?
-Once your finished were is the best place to go (again in Canada) to get employed?

Thank you so much for your time if anyone have anything else to add please do :) thanks again !

Hopefully you are either very young or English is not your first language ;)

A quick Google search of "how does one become an equine vet" pulled up this site which seems to have most of the information you are asking for:

Veterinarian (Equine): How Does One Become an Equine Veterinarian?

It's not an easy, short (or cheap) task and takes years of study and hard work.

Don't be apologizing for english not being your first language. Probably not many of us on the forum could write a message in french well enough to be understood.

Guelf is the major university in Canada, I'd say your first step is to look into their requirements and then go from there. Where are you at in your schooling? It is also important to start gaining experience in veterinary medicine. Just because you want to be an equine vet does not mean that you should only get equine experience either. Most vet schools look for a diverse applicant. I'm in my 3rd year of vet school here in the states, feel free to PM me if you have questions. My french is pretty rusty (took 6 years of classes though) so if you have trouble finding the right english words you can try your own language and I will try to understand!

    Best wishes!

I am only in 10 grade but I believe its good to look in to what you want to do as early as this. Ill for shure look at the requirements for Guelf, cause I have to start picking my classes for next year in a comple months. I don't want to only be an euquine vet but that's what I want to specialize in more then other animals.
Most poeple I know that when to vet school ended up drooping out and I wont let that happen to me that's why Im asking so many questions. Lol
Merci beaucoup pour votre aide je l'apprecie extremement ! :) Thank you
