My filly, at one year old once kicked me in the knee for cold hosing (*trying to wash!!!*) her nipples in the middle of summer!
That was a pretty spectacular bruise.
She also stepped on my foot once when my dumb butt was wearing sandals. Left a nice semi circular scar for awhile there.
Actually I think both times she was in heat.
So definitely not a fairy tale, gentle, majestic animal...nothing like the anti-slaughter campaign tries to paint it anyway...some of them are more like us after a harsh PMS day with no chocolate.
Or maybe that's just mares. ;)
