Ransom is lame..help?

So my boy is lame (yes, right before the extra-long weekend when we planned to go trail riding o.o)

I was riding him last night and when we started to trot, I noticed it did not feel right at all. My coach had a look and told me to use another horse as ransoms front left foot was lame.

After riding another horse, I went to go see ransoms feet/legs and felt for anything hot/warm. His right front hoof was very hot..?

Anyways, while he is doing his little recovery thing..what can I do to pamper my diva horse & make him feel better ? :))

Also, my coach put some brute in his feed as she thinks it's either a bruise or abscess.

Or your farrier. Good farriers will know how to look for bruising and abscesses.
