I think just about anything can cause a change in the consistency of a stool depending on the horse however I would definitely keep an eye on them and probably do a temperature check. Make sure they are drinking plenty of fluids and question what they've been eating. Do they eat off the ground? Do you have any weeds that could cause issues? While they are acting fine and it's probably nothing, I still generally will keep a close watch when the stools are involved but that's because I have a colicer.
