recommendation for vet in Idianapolis Indiana

The horse we have found is in Plainfield Indiana. Can anyone recommend an equine vet for the ppe? (pre purchase exam) Thank you so much!

I sent an email to my equine chiro that lives in Greenfield and asked her about good ones in the area. I will let you know when I hear back from her :)

I just talked to the seller of our hope to be new horse and the place you mentioned is the place she uses...figures.. What do you think of just using her vet and being there when the horse is vaccinated as she says most of the vets know her because she has boarding and lesson facility? Not much of a choice as the horse would need a coggins and a health certificate anyways to leave the state>

She says we can bring the horse home for our vet to check him but that we would be paying for duplicate checks. She did say also that if the horse didn't work out that she wouldn't really want to but that she would take the horse back. All of the others we asked would not take horse back. I think that says something.

Still haven't heard from my friend darn it, I need her to schedule a chiro visit too :(

I would think that would be fine if you were there. If she didn't want you present that would make me think twice but sounds like she is a pretty honest lady given she is willing to take the horse back.

Good luck!

I would speak to her vet get vaccines done (which SHE should pay for) then bring him home and have the PPE done by your vet ask her to hold your check/money for one week and get the PPE done ASAP
