Is this related to heat cycle?

I was out with mare this evening and she went to pee and I noticed it seemed that the pee color was a deeper yellow than it is normally is. Almost maybe a tad thicker and a brighter yellow. I watched and sure enough after she was done she started blinking up a storm so I know she is in heat. (She has also been running around whinnying at the neighbor horse, whom she normally ignores, like a fool for a couple days lol) I just am wondering if it is normal to get a darker urine when in heat? This is my first mare, always had geldings and I wasnt sure. She has alot of water available in multiple tubs as well as two automatic waterers at all times so I assume she is drinking plenty. She also has her mineral salt block.

Yes, very normal. Darker and thicker more frequent urine is par for the course with most mares
