Right Feeds?

Is Orchard Timothy good quality hay for a young horse?
Or is it more of a filler? Do you soad alfalfa pellets, or just feed as is?

I'm not sure about hay choices, but this is a pretty good article about hay choices.

Thanks! I have been talking to my vet and she gives me like a million answers! She recommends the Timothy; he'll be in pasture as is so he will have forage, and a rice bran, dac colt or Vita Plus Supplement with some oats for yummyness I suppose; not to much, it will be feed in quanties, but I guess the mash will be making up for the lack of some key ingredients that Timothy lacks.

Idk if that sounds right; but it is what she reccomends.
