Is this ringworm?

My mare was extremely dry and flakey for a while and her legs became scabby. After doing some research, it sounds a lot like ringworm (it isn't rainrot for sure).

I buzzed her down in case of it being ringworm so that there's nothing for the fungus to feed off of and I began treating her today for it with topical solutions. I know the bright coppery patches are where she had some general scuffs and fur grew back in...but does the patchy round spots seem just like ringworm? It's all over her body. This photo doesn't reflect it as much as I'd like, but there's white flakes everywhere. Her fur was so dense with it that it seemed like more than just dry skin.

There's not a lot of current photos online of horses with ringworm or what it looks like with the area around it shaved so I just wanted a confirmation :)

Doesn't look like ringworm - that is usually a lot more circular and it is very unusual to get it on their lower legs.

WHatever it is, just give her a good rinse with vinegar.

I agree that it does not look like ringworm. Sorry that I can not help more.

I agree not ringworm, I do think it is some kind of fungus. Maybe try some fungicidal shampoo.
PrairieChic and Sereno like this.

Thanks, everyone.

She did have stuff that was all scabby on her legs. When I got her a few months ago, she came with shaved legs in a non-particular manner. Then several weeks later the fur still did not grow in and it broke out with the scabby and flakiness. I think her previous owners were treating the same thing. It seemed to clear up on it's now on her legs but she's left with her body looking as it is in the photos.

I began spraying her all over with vinegar yesterday :)
