Runners relief poultice?

I recently found out that my 3 year old standardbred mare that I just purchased as a retired racer, fractured her pastern as a 2 year old. Not only did she fracture it, but she kept racing after that... So it's not good. I bought her to break by my self, and she's been wonderful so far! An absolute angel, until about a week ago, she started pinning her ears during translations (which is NOT like her!), then started falling into a pace (she doesn't usually do that anymore unless nervous). So I knew something was up. I stopped riding, asked my trainers opinion, nobody really knew why was wrong so I messaged the person who raced her (who was also a vet). And he told me she fractured it as a 2 year old. (Since I asked why she had really been retired) I was told she was just too slow. Anyway we are getting the vet out as soon as he can make it, he's going to do an over all check up, teeth floating, and most likely some x rays! Anyway I've been looking up some different things, has anyone ever used runner relief? ( I'm unsure of how long 1 jar of the poultice lasts, there's a 1.75 lb jar, and a 3.5 lb jar. So I'm thinking of using that, obviously I'll get the vets opinion, but I want to know if anyone knows how many applications 1 jar should last? There's also cool casts with ice o gel, anyone use these? ( I love this horse, and whether she's going to be sound or not, I'm keeping her. If it comes to it and she only part way recovers, I'll consider giving her up as possibly a light trail riding horse, or she'd make a wonderful therapy horse with more work and desensitizing, but as it stands right now I'm keeping her. So let me know what you guys think!! Thanks

I started a thread on this product too, but haven't gotten any responses. You should call the company and ask how long the jar of poultice lasts. I think it last a while, maybe a month or two? Anyways, I would love to hear if anyone has used this product. But I don't think any members here have :(

Looked on the website FAQ, a 3.5 lb jar lasts 60-90 applications depending on how much you put on! Wish I had some feedback from people who used it though!

Have you googled reviews? I did and they were all good from what I remember. A lot of barrel racers use it for precaution.

I'm getting the vet out this week or next week, I'll see what he recommends, but I'm most likely going to try it! Haven heard anything but good about it!
