scared of the vet?!?!

So my mare if off the track and she is so easy to give wormer, shots ect to but when the vet comes out she gets all jumpy and what not... he comes to where she is so it's not a new place but it's like she knows ... he is also very short with her and I don't think that helps ... any suggestions? He is a good vet but I am looking up some other ones as well ...

Find another vet. Your horse is picking up on his attitude. Not good.

Yea that's what I would do too, just research and try to find another one. If he is short with her and doesn't seem to take his time and help her nerves she might only get worse or he might be having a bad day one time and lose his cool and set her back even more so I would go in the direction of a new vet

I found one and left him a message, hopefully he calls back soon!

Personally, if the vet is short with her, it doesn't sound like he really loves animals - at least not your horse. I would find one that seems like they really care and not just going through the motions doing their job.

I have had a few emergencies lately, and I am glad my vet seems like he has real concern for my horses.
