Senior Feed and Hay Cubes

We run quite a few horses out on grass pasture. We had a long winter and wet spring. It resulted in our old stud coming alarmingly thin.

We really didn't know if we was going to get him turned around. He was going downhill fast!!!

We ended up feeding him about 6-10 lbs of purina senior feed twice a day for the first week. We also mixed in some "COB" with it. He also had free choice grass but didn't pick at it much.

After the first 2 weeks we added soaked hay cubes. WOW did the combination turn the horse around!!! In the first month the horse probably put on close to 200 lbs and is feeling great!

If anyone has a horse in bad shape the senior feed and soaked hay cubes sure worked for us.

*The old stud will not be turned out this winter. He'll be close to the house for daily grain and Purina Senior Feed
