This question is more out of curiosity, nothing has happened to either of my horses. I was killing time, looking at horses for sale that I can't have. I really need to quit doing that. LOL!!!
Anyway, I came across a 2 year old thoroughbred filly that came back from a gallop lame. X-rays were taken, and she had a fracture at the top of her right front sesamoid. How serious is this? I understand how they get them, mostly from running in deep track, but can it heal so that they can do just about anything? Or would the filly be good for anything? It does not say what kind of care was done, so I cannot answer that. It just says she will need some time to finish healing, and she could be a pleasure horse. What do you guys think?
