    They don't always have grand mal seizures. She could've very well been seizing.

    Ok, so we told the people at the barn about it (her owner wasn't there) and apparently she has done it before, but they insist its just her didn't seem like it though.

    The rule of thumb with a foal is to act quickly as they can crash really fast. So vet should be called immediately any thing seems out of place.

    Sounds like she was just in a deep sleep.
    Many foals make the most strange noises when they are in a deep sleep.

    Well yea, but usually horses around the barn, even in a deep sleep, will respond or something if you poke them to get up and move them. She didn't
