Unhappy She's stressed and sad =[

My mare had a best buddy in her paddock, Gurdy - a cute little roan mare. Without warning sometime last week, Gurdy's owners removed her out of the complex alltogether, I don't know where she's gone and poor Candy is beside her self. She's had diahorear and as a result has a chafed bum and has chafing in between her back legs =[ it looks very sore and I've tried to put this cream on the vet gave me, but she kicked out when I tried to touch it. So I tried talcum powder just puffing it at her bum and she hated that too, I tried to clean up all the dried poo but she now kicks out everytime I lift up her back hooves. It looks like its improoving on its own however.. The vet said it could all be stress or a sign she's coming into season. I feel bad for her, she just looks sad all the time now.

    What do you guys think?

Sounds like she's probably stressed/depressed. I've seen similar things happen. I don't know what to tell you about trying to take care of her proble, but if it stops improving on its own then you should call the vet and have him come out and address it. Sorry I'm not much help. That's a very sad story! What a horrible situation! :(
