    Shipper has my mare's blanket!

So, as some of you know, I have had my horses here at my property for about almost a month now. We shipped them from California where I used to live and received them in very poor condition. My mare look almost starved to death. While I was in California for the holidays, I was going to ship my mare's winter blanket back to our ranch in Texas, but was told that the blanket was sent with the shipper. It was never delivered with the horses. I got in touch with the shipping company and they confirmed they had it. They lost track of who it belonged to apparently. But promised they would get it right out to me on their next pass through Texas last week.
The weather has been pretty nice up until Saturday. It started pouring rain, but it wasn't very cold, and I haven't been too worried. As the weather has been getting colder I have been asking them when they would be coming. I was told they would bring it to my work yesterday. No shipper, no blanket. I called after work and was told he isn't able to get to San Antonio on this pass, but would "try" to get into the mail for me by today. Well, I called today to confirm and had to leave a message, no answer, no return call.
It will be in the 20s tonight. My mare has hardly any fat on her bones. She IS gaining wt, but has a long way to go. She has fresh shavings and a clean stall and luckily a decent winter coat. I sent them a rather harsh email and DEMANDED that they overnight it tomorrow as it was THEIR error in the first place.
I cannot afford another blanket right now. I have spent so much already in trying to get both horses healthy and vet bills. That is a $200+ blanket as it is!
Any suggestions? I am beside myself with worry, once again.

You're kinda at their mercy, aren't you. Just keep phoning & bugging them. They will hopefully be irritated enough by your calls, that they will want to make sure you get the blanket back so you will stop bothering them.

Your going to have to be like that blow fly that just doesn't leave... Pester the crap out of them and they'll relent eventually. I hope you get your blanket soon!!

Wonder what would happen if you told them that your mares health depends on having that blanket ASAP
