    Shipping boots?

I haul my horses in a stock trailer and the other day me and my friend hauled out to ride and she put shipping boots on her horse.

I like the idea of them not banging around in the trailer and not getting poop on her feet, but how practical are shipping boots when hauling?

I'm debating on whether to buy any. The ones I found are $32.

Some say they are dangerous. Some people prefer polos. Me, well I have no idea how to wrap polos and my horse is accident prone. She doesn't stomp around though so I'm not worried about the boots. But the last time she cut herself just above the didn't work so well there.

I always trailer with shipping boots, always. But, you have to be careful with shipping boots. A lot of them will slip down around the horse's feet. Do not get fleece lined shipping boots. They always slip and make the horse's legs get very hot. These are the ones I use. They work just fine.

I prefer No-Bows and Standing Wraps vs Shipping Boots. All the times I threw shipping boots on they were halfway down the leg by the time we reached our destination. They are just to much of a hassle for me so I went back to using what I have always used and don't have problems.
