    Sounds like he just had a bad trim, or too close of one. Just let his feet grow out some and try a different farrier, or tell the guy who did him last about what happened. Hooves are definitely healthier barefoot, so I would try to keep him unshod if you can.

    Be sure to keep him on a good 4-6 week trimming schedule. That will help him keep a more consistent foot.
