23 years ago 1986 I got discusted with the quality of hoof care I was getting so I started shoing my 3 endurance horses myself. At this time we were running about 200 miles a week on the 3 horses and keeping shoes on them was a nightmare. Being very handy with my hands I decided to start shoeing myself. One thing lead to another and I ended up shoeing part time for others as well. It keeps me in shape, provides lots of spare money for other hobbies and I get the quality of work I was looking for.
