Question Shoe Question

Okay, This might be silly but why would a horse only have shoes on his front hooves?

Alright- fill me in!

A horse carries 2/3 of their weight on the front feet.

On the sixth day, God created the Quarter Horse.
On the seventh day, he Painted the good ones.

horse generally carry the majority of their weight on their front hooves ... therefor causing more wear on them ... some horses have other problems that require shoes on the front...

I have been called the NSC Nazi more then once ... I hate traditional feed methods of loading our horses up on grains and junk food :)

my gelding has shoes only on his front hooves, but he has them for correctional reasons. I'll explain further if anyone wants.

My Mare and Gelding always just have the front ones done. They were a lot faster on the front when we trail ride.
