Should I get a new farrier or just deal with it?

No, I'd say from my experience farriers I dealt with and heard about are not like that. I'm not talking about 5 or 10 or 15 mins late of course, that' norm with traffic and other conditions, but rather couple hours. But on other side we have lots of farriers in area, so if you are late every single time you may loose a business in the place.

I wouldn't deal with that behavior. I'd find a new farrier. Time is money, not just for the farrier but for the horse owner that has to leave work to be at the appointment. It seems like the biggest complaint I've ever heard about farriers is not showing up on time (not just 15 minutes late, I mean really late) if they show up at all.

I've got a fantastic farrier who knows how to schedule his time wisely so he's not overly late.

You know what? If my farrier or vet said- I'll be over there sometime today- I would be happy with that. But to schedule a time, then not show up or call? That's not cool in my book.
