Should I be worried?

I noticed just today while I was filling his water bucket that he was doing this weird, long 'yawn' looking thing with his mouth, but he was curling his tongue around in a weird way. At first I just thought he had to yawn really bad, bu he kept doing it! I've never seen him do this, and I checked him over and he seemed fine to me. He proceeded to eat and drink afterwards, but while he was just chilling in his stall, he would occasionally do it at random times. He wasn't like freaking out, he seemed pretty chill, but it was weird!
Should I be worried? Or us he just being goofy?
I was scared that he was choking, but he was breathing normally, eating and drinking normally afterward so I just don't know. :-|
Haven't noticed it again since this afternoon though.
Thoughts?

is he a newbie? maybe hes just bored and trying to entertain himself...my cows will stand in their stall and curl their tongues at me when theyre bored.

if hes eating, drinking, and doesnt look stressed or have problems breathing i wouldnt be worried.

There was an American Saddlebred in a barn that I once worked in that did this. It progressed to him unhooking his bucket and shaking it all over the floor.

My personal opinion? He's bored, or just having fun with the water. I'm no expert of course, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt.
Good luck!
