Signs that colic is going away?
My horse Dolly the other day started colicing, and thank god it wasn't bad! Just a tummy ache! (she's coliced another time a few years ago and it was pretty bad...) I was still worried though. She only tried rolling once then I got her up and walked her around and wouldn't let her eat. She was kicking at her belly and swishing her tail and just in general looked super uncomfortable... Later on she pooped twice and peed then drank some water and looked 100% better! My question is, how exactly do you tell when the collic is passing? A girl at my barn told me when they pee, it's pretty much over, but other than the obvious (not rolling, kicking their bellies, etc.) what could you look for to see if the colic is going away?
