I am thinking about getting SmartPaks for my horse. SmartHoof and SmartBreathe would be the two that I am wanting to get.

Any reviews?

I LOVE smartpaks, but call the SmartPak people and talk to them, they are VERY helpful and will help you come up with the perfect plan for your horse

I did call and talk to them. But I'm really only interested in those two. He's in great condition otherwise. He's been having a slight allergy problem since I've brought him south (two weeks) and we keep him barefoot with a mustang roll. Since the ground here is softer, I want to make sure that his hooves stay hard and don't become too wet. Neither was really a necessity per se, but if it makes him happier, I can't complain!

Now that he's boarded out (before now, he stayed at my parent's) the SmartPaks make me feel a bit better about supplements. He received Selenium there but doesn't need it here. We just put the toppers on ourselves. But since somebody else is doing it, this makes me feel better because they're labeled with his name and color (there are actually TWO Javas at our barn! One is a Paint grulla mare and mine, of course.) it makes me feel a bit better about feeding supplements.

If I like it enough, I may actually do a coat conditioner SmartPak and a no-fly SmartPak, too. But we'll see!

It's a bit on the expensive side, $50/month because of shipping, but that's okay.

Also - I'll give a review on it in a few weeks!

Oh, kchfuller - do give a review on SmartShine. I was in debate whether to add that to the mix or not. Java has a decent amount of shine to him, but I wouldn't mind a bit more!

I'm really interested to see how SmartHoof goes. He's a bit ouchy over big stones on gravel, and we keep him barefoot. So I am definitely looking forward and hoping for a change in that!

I'd recommend the Smartpak name brand supplements in a heartbeat. My horse is on the Smartflex Senior and it's beaten out all the other name brand supplements I've tried. It's the same ingredients without paying for the labels. For shine though, my personal favorite is the Cocosoya Ultra SP. I loooove that stuff.

I get a Smartpak supplement for my dog once a month. I love the auto ship, one last thing I have to worry about.
If I have to put off a shipment for any reason I just do it all online. They notify well in advance of when it ships if you need to change anything.
