Question Sparse forelock?

I have a 16 year old Standardbred Gelding. He barely has a forelock. I have tried MTG and he is on a hoof supplement. What can I do to get him to grow one?

A girl from my barn recommended that I use cholesterol on my horse's forelock. She said its the kind people use and you can get it at the regular store. I haven't used it yet but she says it worked really well for her horse.

Rook's forelock is the same way. I think I'm going to have to try the cholesterol.
