Okay, so the farrier came out and we got them trimmed and one shod. I asked him about my horse's hooves with the superficial cracks. One was from an old injury that happened and the other one was actually a small abcess and cleared on it's own. The thing is I never noticed the crack untill this week and the the other day a small surface hole showed up and I wondered if it was but she was never lame or anything so I brushed it off and it ended up being one. The thing is how did she get it..she didn't step on anything sharp.I read up on it but none of it made sense to me. Could she have knicked herself right there without me knowing. I clean her hooves daily and I put hooflex on it but that appeared out of nowhere. Oh and her feet are hard and good. He said she probably doesn't need shoes and I can just keep an eye out to make sure they won't do any serious chipping or cracking.

Ludo's hoof is not the best.We couldn't get one hoof shod because he couldn't apply any pressure to his hurt leg.He even tried to lay him down and that didn't work. He cut away at the crack and it didn't go all the way through like the vet thought. The farrier said his hoof isn't bad nor is it good and to make sure we keep putting hooflex on it.

I guess I'm just paranoid. I dont want any hoof issues.
