Swelling at tail end?

I have a 15 yr old Arab gelding with swelling at the back of the croup around the dock of his tail. He acts normal, and the swelling feels soft. Should I do anything?

I could be a simple cyst, or it may be a melanoma. What colour is he? If grey, they are more likely to get melanomas. I'd get your vet to come and have a look at it just to be on the safe side, but most lumps are pretty harmless :)
