Switching from Previcox to......

Hi
My gelding has been on Previcox for 6 or so months and has been doing really well. It just seems to be adding up in cost. I do the cheapest option: 1/4 of the 227 mg but between that and paying the guy to feed him on the days I'm not there I am about $55 a month
Does anyone have a suggestion for something that can EQUALLY compete with Previcox or be better? NOT interested in injections hock at all.
What about the Ctyl M monthly shots??

Use the dog version of previcox, it's exactly the same thing & cheaper.

I believe previcox is the dog version. I has yet to find anything comparable unfortunately. In the horse world I'd say $55 is getting off easy. Sorry I'm no help.

Yeah, I use Previcox, the dog version. I could never afford the equine version.

Previcox for me only costs $100 or so every 3 months. Can't really complain if its getting the job done.

You may want to run it by your vet but on COTH a few people have gone to 57mg once a day for 14 days, 12 days off, and found it quite effective. There is an explanation of the raesoning behind it there if you do a search.
