Swollen Leg

Hello!

Pulled Elvis from the pasture today to find his leg swollen. Not on the joint. Before I call a vet, I was wondering what I could do? My plan of attack currently goes as follows:

• Clean with Dettol
• Look for pussy scabs; remove if needed
• Clean with antiseptic fluid; bandage if needed

Sound good? I don't really know... it's kinda funky. ;) I'm a little worried about the Dettol, but I've used it before and it's worked magic.

I would say maybe cold hose it for 20 min or so.

Does it feel hot to the touch?

I'd give a call to the vet if it's really swollen. Better to be safe than sorry.
