Swollen Leg

Pulled Elvis from the pasture today to find his leg swollen. Not on the joint. Before I call a vet, I was wondering what I could do? My plan of attack currently goes as follows:

Clean with Dettol
Look for ***** scabs; remove if needed
Clean with antiseptic fluid; bandage if needed

Sound good? I don't really know... it's kinda funky. ;) I'm a little worried about the Dettol, but I've used it before and it's worked magic.

Pictures would help.

I would say maybe cold hose it for 20 min or so.

Does it feel hot to the touch?

Working on pictures -- camera is being its usual annoying self.

It isn't hot, no, I believe I'll just cold hose it... Thanks!

Green Broke
I'd give a call to the vet if it's really swollen. Better to be safe than sorry.
