Swollen leg but not lame

My fourteen year old quarter horse mare has a swollen left back leg. She's not limping, not tender. I loped her in the round pen and asked her for sharp turns and she did them without a problem. There's no heat and I can squeeze all down her legs without a reaction.
When she trots the leg seems to have a light jiggle. Is there something there or could she just be retaining water??

I haven't talked to the vet. I'm concerned but not to the point where I'd call her in. She's showing no pain nothing. She is kicking out with it towards her mates. She bucks and runs, turns sharply and has no limp. No heat, no scratches or scabs. It's just kinda squishy like water

I would call your vet and tell her just what you told us. It does not cost money to call for advise from your vet. I call my vet all the time without having him come out.

I went out and saw her today and her legs look normal. I'll call her tomorrow since it's after hours and no vets are there except for emergency.
Half the time our vets will tell us to come in no matter what the issue is. I'll give it a shot tomorrow

I have seen symptoms like this a couple of times over the years with our mares when they have been kicked. Swelling for a couple days, no pain reaction to touch, no lameness.

On the sixth day, God created the Quarter Horse.
On the seventh day, he Painted the good ones.
