Unhappy Swollen lump on my ponies neck!?

I went out to see my pony today and I've noticed she has a strange thing on her neck, its on the side and about half way down. It's this swollen, awkwardly shaped oval shape I guess you could call it and she does not like when you touch it.
I have a new horse and I'm thinking it could be a bite or something but she's fluffy at the moment so I can't seem to see bite marks, please is there anything this could be? I'm worried about my baby girl.

Hasn't had shot there?

More than likely insect bite if has been warm enough, but could also be that she has rubbed on something and may have gotten something lodged under skin, in flesh that is causing problem.

I went out to her this morning and its almost fully gone down in swelling, I'm guessing it was infact one of the horses that did it.

Was it like a bump, and then it like sinks down like a hole?

The mare I used to show had something like the bump I explained and it never went away. We are pretty sure it was a permanent kick mark.

I am almost 99% sure its a kick mark. :)
