swollen sheath, from being dirty or something else?

If you look at the thread I made after this, "freaking out, swollen leg..." He got an infection in his hind leg and devolved cellulitis and that is what caused the sheath swelling, he's weeping serum and actually needs more protein since he's loosing a lot in the serum.
