Tapping of the hooves

Hi, I have recently been interested in buying this pony from down the road, BUT, when she walks and trots sometimes her hooves tap together. I have also noticed her feet go out as well. Is this bad at all?

Erg a pigeon-toed horse by the sound of it It could also be that he has turned out hocks in hind-legs or toed-in on the fore-legs. --- all of these pretty much give the same problems really and it very much depends on what you want to do with her.
All of the above can cause problems such as excess strain on the inside of the legs which can lead to bruising and possibly easy lameness. A horse will often compensate with this by "paddling" to avoid contact. This can be a problem when competing as it wastes energy so you will find a toed-in horse will have less stamina. However, you should not experience many problems if you plan to ride for pleasure. I would definitely not buy her if you were planning on doing much jumping or dressage as both of these place quite a lot of strain on the legs.
Is it possible if you could get a picture? The best angle would be face-on if it is in the forelegs or butt-on (is there a correct term for this?!) if it is in the hindlegs.

PS - I believe the condition can be controlled well with corrective shoeing but that is not my area of expertise.

Most of us here do not care if the rider in question owns the horse, is about to or is simply looking, the question was about confirmation and she showed a photo to illustrate.

If you do not have anything constructive to say then back off!!

In regards to the pony it looks toed out in the near for definitely. As stated in Dave's reply, it all depends on what the pony is needed to perform. Like Dave, I wouldn't touch it for use in serious competition but for simple pleasure and if everything else was agreeable, then it would fall down to personal choice.
