I agree. Sounds like he needs his teeth floated, good to know that your getting the vet out. There is probably just some sharp points and your horse will be feeling great in no time.
I get my horses teeth done every 10 - 12 months, if I notice him needing it done before then, I Wl get the vet out. Better to be safe than sorry. With young horses though, it is recommended every six months.
Cost - as said above, depends on the area and the vet. Here we pay around $110, which includes basic sedation. In some cases, the horse may need more sedation and will cost more. Best to ask the vet when you ring up, just to be prepared.
