Lightbulb Tendon Injures - best treatments?

Hi, I am currently composing some research for my Extended Project, where I am looking at different treatments for Tendon Injuries in horses. It would be really useful to me if anyone could help me, by answering the following questions:

1. In your opinion what is the most effective treatment for injuries to the Digital Flexor Tendons?
2. In your experience, do horses who suffer from injuries to the Digital Flexor Tendon return to full work, equal to the work they performed before the injury?

Thank you very much, any information I can get will be very useful!Amy
