    Please continue to poultice the horses foot for a couple of more days so it will finish draining and begin to heal. Until the horse is walking sound on that foot do not risk debris entering the wound and causing infection. We never turn out when we have an abscess, we keep them in where it is clean and dry. If you are unable to do that you should cover the wrapped foot with a waterproof material and duct tape it overtop of the poultice etc. Here is a video that explains how to do the poultice.     Thanks. I have mad a temp stall last night for him. So he is now even more grumpy but he is on dry ground and is being properly wrapped so it stays clean :)
