Thank you everyone for the help and words of encouragement in helping my little donkey through this crisis. He is doing better, eating (although not quite back to normal) pooping and being his obnoxious self. But that is what I love about him. We are going to keep him on a small dose of Dexamethesone for 2 more days and hope he keeps improving. So grateful for great support (barn owner and my vet) and of course all of you.

Just hoping for the progress to continue. Thanks again!

Leo and his mom.

Still standing! Feisty, eating lightly, but eating. Talked to the vet this A.M. and we are taking him off Dexamethesone. Not pooping a lot but he is not eating like he used to eat. Takes carrots and made him some hay cubes with water. Picks at the hay. Drinking water. Better than last week just keeping a watchful eye on him. Put him in the arena last night and he was moving pretty good. Before he would just go to the corner. I am grateful for another week and hoping for the best. Thanks for asking!

Still hanging in there! Seems to be doing ok. Still a little off on eating but could stand to lose some. Feisty and did bray once this week. Usually he is very vocal. Tough day today had to put our 12 year old cat down. He had mega colon issues. We tried diet, drugs, enemas. Couldn't afford the surgery and with a heart murmur also didn't want to do. He also was dealing with thyroid issues. All our animals are getting old 3 dogs and 4 cats. Try to take care of them the best we can. We probably spent 3 grand in the last couple of months. Not complaining though wouldn't be life without them! Thanks for being concerned. I will try and keep you updated.

Leo is doing fabulous! I am so grateful, I would miss the little ******. Thanks for asking. I really think it was his mouth. But that was addressed when the vet was there. I just don't think he has something going on with his tongue also. He had bitten it.
