    They are getting worse

Stretch is not getting any better he needs a third colic surgery. We sent him to a clinic on Monday out in colorado and I get a call saying he was colicing again. The sugery is the best option if we want to save his life. I might have to let go and say goodbye.

To make things worse Force my 8 year old gelding is lame. He came in with a cut above the cornet band. The vet gave him bute to gett rid of the swelling. Later that night I walked into his stall and he was leaning on the wall and holding his leg off the ground. I called the vet and he came out the next morning and put pads on. Later in the week we took x-rays and it showed his left coffin bone is severely rotated. My other colt and a boarders mare came in with the same cut above the cornet band and in the exact same area. Both the mare and colts legs are very swollen and they are lame. The three horses do not go out in the same field. All my other horse seem fine. I am so angry because we don't know what they have and the 8 year old is not responding to the medicine.

It sounds like your 8 year old has foundered from the trauma.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but depending on the degree of rotation it is not likely that he will be sound to ride ever again and in order to be pasture sound, he will need corrective shoeing.
I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks for the hugs. I took him to the clinic and they said he has laminitis from the spider toxin. Anebel you are right he will never be sound again.
