My area has a very big problem with ticks, specifically the ticks that carry lyme disease. Will regulary insect repellent keep the ticks off my horses? What are some other ways to keep the ticks off? I check them every morning and everynight, but I'm still worried about the possibility of them getting lyme disease...

The best thing for keeping not only ticks but also flies away from horses is Neem Oil, a natural product.Get pure Neem off the Internet, Mix 5ml Neem with 3ml shampoo, add a litre of hot water and wash over the horse with a sponge. It is no good using a spray as the Neem will just block the nozzle. It works well on dogs too!
