Tongue Problems

We have a foal who is now 5 months old. Ever since two weeks, he's had his tongue sticking out the side of his mouth. We've been breeding for many years and never encountered anything like it.
He is doing well nutritionally. He had no problems feeding off the mare and is currently eating pasture and feed....it just looks silly. Any thought's on the issue or a fix?

I bet you colt is a cribber! The tounge thing is a way for them to get the oral fixation when there isn't anything to crib on.

My mother in law's colt did that same thing. Started when he was about a month old and he'll be 7 year old in the spring.... he stilllllll does it. We all call him "Goober".

One is closer to God's heart on a horse than anywhere else on earth!
