Triple Crown Omega Max

Does anyone feed this supplement? I was recommended it because my horses feet have recently become dry. I recently switched them to Blue Seals Trotter. They were on Blue Seals Sport prior but it has way too much sugar in it for my guys. My gelding gets one quart 2x a day and my mare gets a quart and a half 2x a day. I also got a new gelding who is in need of some weight. He is on a quart and a half as well 2x a day. His feet are also dry. I like the Omega Max cause its good for there feet, coats, and digestive. Also is good for putting on weight I read. I wouldn't feed it in summer as my guys are on pasture and usually get everything from the grass but seems that they're lacking something here now that its winter. Any reviews on it? Is it good for weight gain and the purpose I intend it for or will I be wasting my money?

Here's a link to there grain-

I am feeding TC Omega Max to an old TB for weight gain. His coat and hooves have never really needed much but he is about 100# under weight and has bladder stones so I have to watch his calcium intake. The Omega Max is the only low calcium suppliment I could find. It is adding weight well so if your horse doesn't need to gain anything you may want to look at something else.
Good luck.

I don't use that supplement, but I love Triple Crown (I feed my horse their ration balancer). I also feed whole flax seed.

Omega Max is nothing more than stabilized, ground flax seed. There are a lot of differing opinions out there about whether or not flax seed needs to be ground for horses to get the nutritional value out of it (my own research/experience has led me to believe they do), but it's definitely true that ground flax seed loses its nutritional benefit VERY quickly after being ground unless it's stabilized, so if you do decide you don't want to feed whole and you can't grind fresh at every feeding, then something like Omega Max is a good choice.

I'm currently feeding 6oz a day to my Guys one of the horses is in need of weight. But I think I may cut back my one gelding (who is on the chubby side) to only 2 oz a day because he definitely does not need any extra weight. I only wanted to add it to help his dry feet.
