"First of all the really swollen sheath, which is most likely melanomas, so basically tumors. I don't know if they are cancerous or not, but he also has lumps on his ankles, plus the one on his face. His hind legs have become really swollen."
That was described to me by the girl who now owns my horse. She is giving him back to me and I was wondering on what to do. I know he needs a vet, and I can get one, but I wanted to know if I should wrap his legs? Or put a blanket on him? Its winter right now. He is a hard keeper, and the barn I once had him at had terrible hay and he lost 300lbs in a month! Does this have to do with anything? He's been unable to get it back, course he may have gained more at his new home.
Also when I bought him, I rode him a lot more and was training too. He never got hurt while doing those things.
