Question two little bones on leg

My horse has two little bones just above his hoof(pastern) but on all four legs. I've worked with horses years and dealt with many but not seen this before(i don't think) any ideaS? He's not lame or anything but I have heard bad things about small bones on pasterns?
Thanks

Do you actually mean bones or bumps? If you mean bones, those would be side bones. Ecmo Filly that we have, has a side bone on her one pastern. They are extremely painful and the horse will be lame. So you're probably not talking about a side bone.
