speedy da fish, thank-you. I would go and take pictures or something but I don't want to go anywhere near the house for the guy is a registered violent sex offender.

Peggysue, if they don't do something within the next month I will try my hardest to do something.

HalfPass, I've tried but like I said before we don't have one for our county D;

Chika1235, That's exactly what this house looks like.

SmoothTrails, That will be the last resort.

Kitten_Val, I know right! We live in a tiny town so it's not like their busy with anything else xD

Honeysuga, Agree :)

Call the Dept of Ag in your state, that is who handles ours here in IL

I have been called the NSC Nazi more then once ... I hate traditional feed methods of loading our horses up on grains and junk food :)

I called today and they bounced me around to so many different people. The only thing I can do according to them is have a cop dispatched to my house so I can file a complaint. I called the local animal control officer but they don't deal with horses.

I'll try that Peggysue.

FINALLY! A trooper is going to do a "drive by" and see what he thinks and he will go from there. I talked to so many people including NYSHC - Humane and hopefully something will finally be done.

I wasted my whole half of my day being transferred from place to place, call to call. Oh well, they don't have a voice so we have to be theirs. I told the Trooper to keep me updated so I hope he will call me back. He said unfortunately NYS law for horses is a very grey area. D;

I got a call back from the trooper and he said "I can see where you're coming from, they are underweight and don't have enough room. Unfortunately we can't do anything about it because they had just the minimum of what it takes to keep up livestock."

I'm so PO that it takes a horse to be pretty much dead to do anything, and even then they probably wouldn't.

Well, this sounds like last resort, but... You may try to contact Fugly (Fugly Horse of the Day). I know not everyone likes this blog, but it's read by LOTS of people. If your story will be there it'll make people to call the authorities and news and you won't be just by yourself.

I can't believe that there is NO animal control in your area! What do they do if some large animal from the wild needs removed from a property?

I would try calling the Humane Society or ASPCA at the national level and explain what's going on, what you've done, and that no one is helping. If that doesn't work, I'd do what someone else mentioned and call the local TV station.

^^ Agreed. If your local joes can't/wont do anything, go over their heads, to the state or national level if need be. Get someone to take a look and take it seriously, if you think these guys are really that bad off.

Kitten Val - hahaha I LOVE FHotD! Some people can't handle a straight shooter, but I think she's great!
