When I bought him, he was a good 200-300 lbs underweight so I decided to stall board him so he could pack on the pounds. He was turned out during the day in a smallish pen by himself, it was plank with a hotwire running along the top of the planks (top and bottom) so the horses wouldn't chew the wire. Somehow he got his foot above the plank but under the wire and ripped the wire out, cutting his leg. That white thing in the first picture is a flexor tendon that was 25% cut.
The kicker.... ?
He was stalled the night after he cut his leg, and turned back out in the morning for a couple hours before anyone noticed that he had cut himself.
Vet sait it was over 18 hours old by the time he saw it.
