UPDATE: trailer roll over horses

Just thought I would give a quick update on Tippee and Willard. Its been a month since the roll over and both are doing just great. Already riding them on easy rides and the barrel mare Tippee has been put back into light training.
Willard, who got the worst of it has finally healed up well, his mouth is back to normal and all the stitches are removed and his lip is once again sealed to his gums. He will probably have to have one front tooth removed, as the bone above it is dying as is the tooth. But is that is all that remains after this whole ordeal, I am happy.
Before starting riding again, both horses visited with a Chiropractor a couple of times, Tippee has some neck issues after being "hung" by her head and having Willard roll on top of her.
Willard had major leg/stifle injury on his hind legs, they were so out of whack from being hung out the trailer doors, but he was able to get them back to not "sticking" when he walked. His hips were misplaced a bit, as was his neck and especially right where head and neck meet. Lots of manipulation and adjusting on him, but he is doing great now
We were lucky that both horses survived, not many scars left over and both are pretty much back to normal.

I don't think I was here when this happened. Was there a thread on it? I'd like to read what happened to your guys!

I'm glad both of them are feeling much better. What a horrible accident. Trailering horses always puts me nerves on edge!

WOOHOO!!!!! This is the best thing I've heard all day - I have been so impressed with the way the whole situation has played out and how well the horses have come through it all (and how you all have handed it).

Congrats on them healing so well. After you posted about the wreck I refused to use our trailer, as we have the same one. I'm sure your thread has made a lot of owners double check their trailers.
